Xanthan gum is a natural polysaccharide obtained from the bacterium Xanthomonas campestris during the process of corn sugar fermentation.
BENEFICIOS
It is a very popular ingredient in the food and natural cosmetics sectors due to its binding and gelling properties. It also acts as an emulsion stabilizer. Furthermore, xanthan gum is used to increase or decrease the viscosity in products such as creams, shower gels, soaps, or shampoos, among others.
As a surfactant, this ingredient facilitates the even distribution of products, as it reduces the surface tension in cosmetics.
