Glycerides or acylglycerols are formed when a glycerol molecule binds to one or more fatty acids. In the case of triglycerides, three must bind. Glycerides are naturally present and, like any lipid, are essential for life.
C10-18 triglycerides are created from derivatives of olive oil extraction.
