You open your eyes, you see the sunlight, you inhale, you exhale: the day begins. It's June 28 and everything is going on as normal, but... Surprise! We're celebrating because today is World Tree Day and at Maminat it is our duty to celebrate it.
Yes, indeed, trees also have their day, just like mothers and fathers. And they deserve it because they give and are life, just like the care a mother gives you, or a father's affection. That's why today, June 28, although we know that every day of the year is good for cooperating and pampering the environment, we want to thank, on the one hand, the care and work done by the planet's forests and ecosystems, and on the other, to remember the importance and benefits of their proper use in our personal care.
The question is simple and somewhat ridiculous: "What is a tree for?" The answer is not unique, as they are useful to human beings for many things, such as making paper, crafting furniture, manufacturing handicrafts, or even as fuel. But above all, trees produce the oxygen we need to live. They also remove the carbon dioxide that causes the greenhouse effect, which is gradually becoming more aggressive and influential in the entire natural course of life. It fundamentally affects the Earth, but also what we often overlook in our daily lives: our health, reflecting it in our skin and moods. In the end, what leaves no one indifferent is realizing the extent to which trees sustain our existence. Without trees there is no oxygen, and without oxygen, no life.
That is why we want to take this opportunity to explicitly thank all those people who celebrate Tree Day with us today and who also cooperate and are aware of its vital function. In our case, we feel even more grateful because they have given us a reason to be. We work so that each product is a true reflection of our relationship with the environment, always striving for respect and conscious cosmetics.
As many of you already know, one of the basic pillars of Maminat's philosophy is that we make cosmetics for people. This means that the ultimate purpose of our products is for you to feel better when using them and to lead a healthier life. You also know that our cosmetics are organic, and taking advantage of today, we want to show you how trees are also major contributors to your skin. This particularly applies to trees found in our country, integrated in the freshest possible way into each package.
Taking advantage of the start of summer, although its triumphant arrival has not yet occurred, we selected, for example, the Maminat pre-summer pack, which is primarily composed of orange, mandarin, grapefruit, and olives. Considering that we are a Valencian company, it was practically inevitable to use orange in our products. Orange is a symbol of the Valencian orchard, and its origin dates back many centuries.
It is a fruit that grows from the tree from which it takes its name, the orange tree. It originated in southern China and Southeast Asia and spread throughout the East thanks to the Silk Road. The Arabs, who introduced orange cultivation to the Iberian Peninsula, called it "naranjah." After the Arab era, orange cultivation continued in the Valencian Community, and although initially used for decorative purposes, sweeter varieties were later introduced, leading to those we consume today and which are considered the best oranges in the world. That is why at Maminat we have decided to pour all the properties of the orange into our care products to extract the maximum benefit from its use. Orange, in addition to being known for its fresh, sweet, and slightly acidic taste, is especially notable for its role in reducing inflammatory factors and oxidative stress, mechanisms associated with metabolic diseases and aging. The "Terreta" shower gel and body cream are primarily composed of this fruit, creating a very gentle citrus base, also accompanied by oils to leave the skin even softer and more hydrated. These oils are derived from the olive, a fruit that grows from the tree from which it takes its name, the olive tree.
The origin of the olive tree is lost in the mists of time, coinciding with the expansion of Mediterranean civilizations. Its trajectory to its current exploitation in Spain continues to grow, being cultivated in places as distant from its origins as South Africa, Australia, Japan, and China. Today, the olive tree is a highly prized tree whose fruit gives rise to one of the most distinctive hallmarks of the Mediterranean diet: olive oil. What would our cuisine be without such an elixir... But its power is not limited solely to the palate; it also has other enriching properties that heal, nourish, and pamper our health, such as for hair, skin, cuticles, wounds, scars...
But there is not only olive oil, there is also almond oil. Almond is a complete product with 12 vitamins and 7 minerals, high in magnesium, and a source of protein. It is rich in fiber and has high prebiotic potential, improving the health of our digestive system. Almond oil is primarily used for making facial creams, specifically in masks for wrinkles like our "always young" facial cream, or, in general, in creams for all skin types, almond oil is always a good ally. But it is not only integrated into creams but also in gels, as is the case with our "Balance Shower Gel" accompanied by lavender and wheat germ oil.
It is clear that many trees give rise to the immense number of products that care for you in your daily life. And without them, we would not be Maminat, because in the end, those behind your care are none other than trees, and without a doubt, who better than them to ensure healthy, balanced, and sensitive care for each of you.
That is why from Maminat we thank you for sharing this day, for celebrating it. Thank you for being aware that we need them more than they need us. Let's pamper them.
