Today, July 2nd, marks the official start of the summer sales. At Maminat, however, as you know, we are not in favor of joining in celebrations or anniversaries related to compulsive and irresponsible consumption. That's why, for example, last Black Friday we decided to close our online store for 24 hours.
There are many reasons. At Maminat we make natural cosmetics for people. We aim to help you feel better and live a healthier life, and we do so from a conscious position. That's why we work with very competitive prices so that everyone can access our products. Remember that our production processes are artisanal, making each product by hand and lovingly labeling each container.
Generally, the right path is not the easiest. And committing to creating natural, organic, and responsible cosmetics is not easy. We have deep respect for the environment and use 100% natural raw materials, which means that the costs, although economically they may be significantly higher than industrial products with chemicals, are tremendously more beneficial for people and the planet.
Another reason to avoid sales is that at Maminat, all products are freshly made especially for you. Our cosmetics are freshly made in our workshop when you buy them. In our DNA, the importance of nourishing your skin with completely natural and fresh cosmetics is ingrained. You can check it on each package, with its expiration date, and it will always last you 12 months.
It's not exclusive, but we also don't have sales because Maminat is supportive. Since 2017, we have been supporting the Mil.una Sagunt project. Every time you buy one of our products, you collaborate with this project located in the Valencian town of Sagunto, where they help women in situations of social vulnerability to develop at all levels: they provide psychological support, help them socialize, and run many workshops so that, one day, they can find employment.
We are aware that these types of decisions can be risky, but if we are committed to sustainability, to living and consuming consciously, we like to remain consistent with our daily lives. We are convinced that the only way to change the world (it is one of our small goals) begins with how we consume.
We are convinced that we must say NO to consumerism. No to celebrations that benefit large multinationals and very little the corner store, small businesses, or cooperatives. And we definitely say NO to precarious contracts by those large companies to cover this excessive avalanche of purchases.
For all these reasons, on this occasion, for these July sales, at Maminat we wanted to remain firm in our convictions and principles, but trying to give a knowing wink to all of you who are always with us. For this reason, during these days, for every purchase of €70 or more, we will give you a cool Maminat t-shirt, with which you can proudly show that you live a conscious life.
