The person writing to you has oily, even very oily, hair, especially during stressful times. It's the kind of hair that only lasts two days at most and that I only like right after washing it because that's when it has the most volume, and it's then that I think it looks great. Little by little, as the hours pass, it falls flat. I'm sure those of you with oily hair will quickly empathize with what I'm saying. I'll reveal my secret: I used to have very oily hairAnyway, a few years ago, before creating my own formulations and as a method of contrast, I decided to eliminate shampoo from my life. Yes, I hadn't become a "dirty person," but I had heard so many times that shampoo ruined hair, and considering that I washed it every other day... I decided to try the "no-poo" method. This strange word comes from "no-shampoo," and if we abbreviate it, it becomes "no-poo," even though "poo" means poop. Well, there I went. If you don't know about it, I'll explain it. It consists of washing your hair with baking soda and apple cider vinegar, and then rinsing it with water. The smell isn't the most pleasant, but I rinsed it thoroughly so the vinegar stench wouldn't linger. And... after 3 weeks, my hair looked like a scourer! And that's when the famous phrase "the cure is worse than the disease" came to mind. And, never has it been truer. From that moment on, I needed masks, salon treatments, and I felt like I was investing too much in my hair. I think I tried everything or almost everything within my reach. What if... I should look for a natural and ecological shampoo? So I decided that my hair was next to switch to real natural cosmetics. That's why I started researching, researching, and creating plant-based formulations for shampoos. After months of work, collecting aromatic plants, then planting them in my garden... I created Maminat shampoos. Shampoos that didn't contain plant extracts or similar, no! They are made with the actual leaves of the plants and do NOT contain sulfates or silicones. What is a sulfate?A sulfate is a fairly common substance in conventional shampoos because, when it comes into contact with water, it creates lather, and it also has the function of washing hair. That's why you'll be familiar with the campaign "if it lathers, it's really cleaning." But... that's not true. Using sulfates is very cheap, so the percentage of profit for a brand is much higher than if natural active ingredients are used. On the other hand, sulfates dry out our hair (which is why we then need conditioners or masks), can cause irritation, dandruff, and even accelerate hair loss. And, for those of you with curly and quite dry hair, sulfates are your worst enemies. You'll notice that when you use a 100% natural shampoo, your curls take on more shape. And if you don't use sulfates, do you always get a natural shampoo? No. You have to remember to read the labels, but since we have to use very complicated terminology, it's sometimes difficult to trust them. So, does shampoo ruin your hair? Is it better to wash it less?Well, it depends on the shampoo you buy. I live a lifestyle where I try to buy consciously; that is, I buy what I need and use everything when necessary. Therefore, I wash my hair when it's dirty because I hate having oily hair, but this also has to do with my vain side that I confess I have. Therefore, I use my Maminat shampoo for oily hair when I need it, no more, no less. Of course, after using it, I don't need masks, so I end up saving money, and I know that using it is healthy because I'm washing my hair, and I'm doing it with plants. So, I use it as many times as I want. Frequently asked questions about our shampoo for oily hairIs using a natural shampoo the same as a non-natural one in terms of texture? No, it's not the same. And at first, it will be hard to adapt to the change, but it's worth it. Natural and organic shampoos, like our shampoo for oily hair, don't generate the same lather as traditional ones. You have to consider that it's sulfates that make that lather. Can my young daughter use this shampoo for oily hair?Of course! Our shampoo can be used by people of all ages, even babies. I have oily hair but dry ends; is this shampoo suitable for me?Completely. If you notice your ends are very dry, you can combine it with our solid conditioner made with avocado. Apply it from mid-lengths to ends, and you'll see that your ends will look more nourished right away without greasing the rest of your hair.
