The skin suffers from overindulgence

excesos en la piel. Maminat, cosmética natural
Excesses are not good, and you probably overdid it a bit during the holidays, right? When we eat more caloric foods, drink more alcohol than usual, and sleep less, it affects our skin. These routine imbalances can not only take a toll on our weight (which is why January, along with September, is the prime month for gyms) but also on the largest organ we have: our skin. DO YOU KNOW HOW YOUR SKIN SUFFERS DURING THE HOLIDAYS? If meals are excessive and high in calories, they cause the skin to produce more oil than normal, which is called sebum secretion, and this leads to acne, reddening of the cheeks, and a dull complexion. Furthermore, the excess sugar typical of this season (nougat, Roscón de Reyes, sweets...) will lead to a decrease in collagen and elastin production, resulting in weakened skin with reduced elasticity. So, if we add an excess of salt to sugar, which is very present in the foods we consumed during these holidays, when we look in the mirror, we will notice bags under our eyes and dark circles due to fluid retention. Has this happened to you? If we abuse alcohol, we are opening the door to a large number of toxins that, in addition to affecting our entire body, also impact our complexion. Alcohol causes dehydration, which makes our skin lose its radiance and makes us look tired. But not only that, it also accelerates skin aging and, therefore, the appearance of dreaded wrinkles. And yes, as always, we are talking about alcohol abuse; a glass of wine or a beer won't harm us. And if that wasn't enough, you probably slept less than usual during these holidays, didn't you? Well, you should know that if there's one thing your skin needs, it's sleep! Because it is while we rest that the dermis takes the opportunity to renew itself. If we don't sleep at least 7 hours, when we look in the mirror, we will notice dark circles and bags under our eyes, lack of radiance, skin spots, and our expression lines will become more prominent.

HOW CAN WE ERASE THE EFFECTS OF CHRISTMAS EXCESSES ON OUR SKIN?

Don't worry, no matter how much coal the Three Wise Men brought you, or if you got the bean in your Roscón de Reyes, you can still treat your skin well. So, pay attention to these tips to achieve perfectly healthy skin:
  1. Return to a balanced diet based on cereals, rice, legumes, fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, and plant and/or animal protein.
  2. Drink purifying infusions and broths made from fruits and vegetables to achieve a decongestant and anti-inflammatory effect.
  3. Drink plenty of water, between 1.5 and 2 liters a day, and drink juices rich in vitamin C (orange, kiwi, mango...) to counteract the effects of alcohol.
  4. Sleep! Between 7 and 9 hours; anything less will not make your skin radiant. Rest is essential to feel good inside and out.
  5. Establish a cosmetic routine that promotes health. Use healthy, antioxidant cosmetics... To do this, you need to check their INCI, their list of ingredients, and make sure you are using something that benefits your skin and not the opposite. Our recommendation is: eye contour cream and facial cream from Maminat in the morning, and at night, before going to bed, virgin milk to cleanse your face and reapply the facial cream and eye contour. Something simple, routine, and healthy.
